8th Xuan Zang Cup Chinese Language Competition, Cheena Bhawan 2025
We are proud to share that Vishal Anand, a student of the MA Chinese Language (3rd semester), secured First Position in the Senior Category in the 8th Xuan Zang Cup Chinese Language Competition (第八届玄奘杯中文演讲比赛) hosted by Cheena Bhawan on 20 November 2025.
Over 40 students from various Indian universities, including the University of Delhi, Jawaharlal Nehru University, Banaras Hindu University, Mahatma Gandhi Antarrashtriya Hindi Vishwa Vidyalaya, Wardha, and Visva-Bharati University, participated in the competition. Harry Sharma (junior category) and Vishal Anand (senior category) represented the Department in this competition.
The competition required each participant to deliver an extempore speech in Chinese. Topics were allotted through a lottery system, where each student drew a chit from a red box to test their luck.
